ABOUT THE COMPANY The firm, Len Pytlak CPA, P.C. is a full service, year round, public accounting and tax firm. The firm was founded and incorporated as a Professional Corporation (PC) on August 15, 1991. Since it's inception the firm has grown from 40 clients at December 31, 1991 to over 675 clients today. Our business philosophy is to provide the client with the best tax and accounting services available at reasonable rates. We specialize in providing services to individuals and small businesses including start-up businesses. We teach the client to do as much of the accounting and filing as they want to do and we do the rest. We have a staff of two full time employees and one part time employee. Len Pytlak is the only certified staff and the owner of the firm. He has been working in public accounting since July of 1979. Len received his license as a Certified Public Accountant effective September 1981. From 1990 to 1998 Len taught accounting and tax classes on a part time basis for Cleary College. Two years of his teaching was spent at an extension campus for the inmates of the Federal Correctional Institute in Milan. In addition to teaching, Len writes articles for numerous trade publications throughout the United States. He has also been a lecturer at many seminars sponsored by Ann Arbor Seminars World Wide, Inc; Ann Arbor Chamber of Commerce; University of Michigan and many private organizations. Len has also taught at Washtenaw Community College and regularly teaches a Quick Books class for the Small Business Development Center at Schoolcraft Community College. In 2001, Len was named the Accounting Advocate of the Year for the State of Michigan by the U.S. Small Business Administration because of his volunteer work with the Small Business Development Center (SBDC), a division of the Small Business Administration.
